Instructions

    • 1

Cut a piece of plywood to 2 feet by 4 feet. Use a table saw to cut your plywood to size.

    • 2

Cut upholstery fabric to 3 feet by 5 feet. Iron the fabric and lay it face down on a flat surface.

    • 3

Cut quilt batting to 3 feet by 5 feet. Lay the quilt batting down on top of the upholstery fabric.

    • 4

Center the plywood on top of the batting and upholstery fabric. Pull the fabric and quilt batting over the side of and to the back of the plywood. Staple through the quilt batting and fabric to attach it to the plywood. Wrap the corners like you wrap a present and staple the fabric and batting to the back of the plywood.

    • 5

Cut 1/2-inch silk ribbon to 6-foot lengths. Lay the ribbons on the front of the bulletin board so they're running both vertically and horizontally. Space the ribbons out evenly. Wrap the ribbons to the back of the bulletin board and staple them in place.

    • 6

Cut a piece of white fabric to 22 inches by 46 inches. Cut the fabric with pinking shears so the fabric doesn't unravel. Lay the fabric on the back of the bulletin board and staple around the edge, hiding the raw edges of the upholstery fabric, quilt batting and ribbon.

    • 7

Screw two picture hangers into the upper left and right hand corners of your bulletin board. Use a drill to secure the picture hangers to the bulletin board.
