A wedding reception s'mores station works well at an outdoor venue, but can also work inside when done safely. Whether you have the right supplies or not, you must make sure you have access to a fire. Campfires, a fire pit, or even individual candles at each table work, but without this important detail, s'mores won't work. These little treats create a fun atmosphere at any wedding, fancy or casual.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Designate a special table for the s'mores ingredients. If you planned a fancy reception, cover the table with a tablecloth that matches the rest of the dining room tables. Otherwise, for a casual wedding, a simple folding table works just as well.

    • 2

Set up three large glass vases. If you plan on an outdoor venue, make sure the vases have lids to keep bugs away. Place graham cracker halves in one vase, unwrapped chocolate bars in another vase, and large marshmallows in the third. Set a pair of tongs next to each vase for each guest to self-serve.

    • 3

Place large, 24-inch bamboo sticks in a basket or a standing pot. Put them at the very end of the table, next to the marshmallows. If you plan on letting your guests roast their marshmallows at the table with their own personal candle flame, kabob skewers work well.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you have limited space at the reception hall, skip the s'mores table. Instead, place all the ingredients into little cellophane baggies and set one at each place setting.

  • Chocolate melts in warm temperatures. If you plan on outdoor event, freeze the chocolate the night before and only set the it out during dessert time.
