Things You'll Need

  • Bucket
  • Warm water
  • Mild laundry detergent
  • Soft-bristled scrub brush
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Baking soda
  • Cloths

Instructions

      Fill a bucket with warm water. Add 1 cup detergent to the water. Mix until the water is soapy.

      Dip a soft-bristled scrub brush into the soapy water and scrub it over the slate tile until the wood stain is softened enough that it comes off.

      Add just enough hydrogen peroxide to 3 tbsp. baking soda to make a thick paste if the wood stain still is visible.

      Rub the paste into the wood stain until it is gone.

      Rinse the slate with clear water and completely dry it with a clean cloth.
