How to Internally Identify an Interview in MLA Format
Modern Language Association format is one of the formats used for professional writing. Depending on your school, your college or your job, you may be asked to format your writing in MLA style. If this is the case, there are several things to know. One of them is how to identify an interview as a source. It is important to identify the interview in both the actual writing and the bibliography at the end.

1
Identify the interview in the copy by prefacing it with "In an interview, Mike Goltz said"; then write in quotations what was said in the interview. At the end of the quotes, place the time and date in parenthesis.
-
2
Identify the interview internally without saying it is an interview. Simply write what the person said in the interview, and then place parenthesis at the end of what was said. Inside the parenthesis, write "Interview, Mike Goltz," followed by the time and date of the interview.

3
List the interview in the bibliography. List "Interview, person, date, time" in that order in your bibliography.
