In addition to being high in healthy vitamins and nutrients such as vitamin C and potassium, fresh-squeezed fruit juices are simple to make with the help of a home juicing machine.   • Home juicing machine
  • Fresh fruit
  • Large glass
  • Cutting board
  • Paring knife
  • Paper towels

Instructions

      Wash all of your fresh fruit thoroughly for 30 seconds under cold running water. Dry off with paper towels after cleaning.

      Cut away any inedible exterior peels or skins. Discard any orange or lemon peels, banana peels, or kiwi skins, as these may clog your machine or result in pieces in your juice.

      Slice large pieces of fruit into halves for easy juicing. Using a paring knife, cut out all of the seeds or pits from your fruit, such as those from cherries, apples, pears and peaches.

      Put fruit into the holder of the juice machine, and press down on it either using the manual hand crank or the cylindrical plastic tube provided for the juicer. Repeat with the rest of your fruit until you have your fresh juice.

Tips & Warnings

  • Clean your home juicer right after juicing, so that the juices do not stick and dry to the parts.

  • Do not juice any fruits or vegetables with a hard membrane or seeds without removing them first. Hard membranes or seeds can get stuck in a juicer's blades and damage the machine.
