How to Change the Timeout for Send/Receive in Outlook
When you check your email using Microsoft Outlook, the program uses a setting called "Server Timeout" to determine how long to wait for a response from the email server before giving up. If the email server, which belongs to the company you have your email service through, tends to take a while to respond, you will have trouble getting your email to download to Outlook. Using the "Server Timeout" setting in Outlook, you can adjust the amount of time the program will wait before giving up on the email server.
