How to Remove a Game From Steam

Steam is a digital distribution platform for computer games. Users can use steam to purchase and download games, communicate with friends and play multiplayer games. One of the benefits of Steam is that your purchases are tied to your Steam account - meaning that should you wish to delete a game (to free up space, for example), you can delete the game and redownload it again at a later time. The process of removing a single game from Steam is just a matter of removing the locally stored content.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the "Start" menu and select "Steam" to launch the application.

    • 2

      Navigate to your game library.

    • 3

Right-click the unwanted game and select "Delete Local Content." Confirm the action. The game and its associated data are deleted from your computer. If you wish to play the game in the future, you will have to download again it from Steam.
