How Do I Pay My Parking Tickets If the Office Is Closed in New York? thumbnail
The office to pay parking tickets is closed on weekends in New York City.

You have three options for paying a New York City parking ticket after hours. You can pay online, over the phone and pay by mail. If you don't pay a parking ticket in New York City, you can face stiff penalties. You must either pay or respond to the ticket at least 30 days after it's issued. There is a fee for paying your ticket online or over the phone that doesn't apply if you mail in the payment.

Instructions

Pay your ticket online. You must have a debit or credit card to pay this way. Be prepared to pay an extra fee, which was $2 at the time of publication. Visit the New York Service Center (nycserv.nyc.gov). Choose "Parking/Red Light/Bus Lane Camera Violations" from the top drop-down menu and click "Go." Once on the landing page, search by either your violation number or plate number and enter your billing information.

Mail the ticket. The Finance Department does not go by postmark date, so mail it as soon as possible so the funds arrive before 30 days have elapsed since the ticket was issued. Do not send cash. Make a check out to New York City Finance Department. Write the ticket number, your license plate number and the state where your vehicle is registered on the front of the check. Mail it to: New York City Department of Finance Parking Violations, P.O. Box 2127, Peck Slip Station, New York, NY 10272-2127.

Pay the ticket over the phone. Call 212-504-4041 and enter your debit or credit card information. Prepare to pay an extra fee for this service. As of the time of publication, the fee was $2.
