How to Make a Beaded Frog
Beaded frogs are popular craft projects. You will notice beaded frogs and other animals attached to knapsacks, zipper pulls and other casual items. Free patterns are readily available in library books, craft magazines and online. Supplies are inexpensive and for $10 you can get a good selection of beads in different sizes, shapes and colors.
Things You'll Need
- 2 red seed beads
- 10 black seed beads
- 53 green seed beads
- 24 inch length of beading wire
- Wire cutters

Thread one green seed bead onto the wire and move it to the middle of the wire for the top of the head. Thread one end of the wire around the bead and through the bead to anchor it. Thread one red seed bead on each side of the green bead for the eyes. Take one wire around one red bead and thread it back through the green bead and the other red bead. Do the same on the opposite side.

Thread four green seed beads onto one side of the wire. Bend the wire below the row of red and green beads. Take the second wire and run it through the four green seed beads. Pull the beads together. Add another row of green beads making sure to run both ends of the wire through the beads. Tighten the beads.

Thread three green beads and two black beads for the arm onto one wire. Take the wire around the last black bead, then down through the three green beads for the arm. Repeat on the other side.

Take each wire and feed it through the row of beads for the body. Add three rows of four green beads each to the body.

Thread five green beads and three black beads for the leg onto one wire. Take the wire around the last black bead, then down through the five green beads for the leg. Repeat on the other side.

Take each wire and feed it through the two of the beads on the last row of the body. Tie a double knot in the wire, pulling it as tightly as possible. Clip the ends of the wires leaving one-quarter inch and feed the ends back through the beads.

Tips & Warnings
Aim to pull each row of beads as tightly as possible.
Make sure there are no bits of wire sticking out after you have completed the project.
