How to Disassemble a Motor Home Convection Oven
Convection ovens, found in most motor homes, are often smaller, faster and easier to use than traditional ovens. Convection ovens also require less gas than traditional ovens and use electricity or propane to generate heat. Additionally, convection ovens use a fan to circulate heated air, which helps cook food quickly and evenly. It is important to take good care of your convection oven. Turn off the oven's propane tank using the dial and disconnect the gas line from the tank using a wrench at the connection fitting.

Open all windows and doors in your motor home.

Turn on the convection oven for five minutes to get rid of any remaining gas.

Turn off and unplug the convection oven.

Remove the door, shelves, all control knobs (including the temperature knob), timer, metal tabs, selector switch and light using a screwdriver or a wrench.

Slide the base forward and lift it over the control-panel housing.

Remove any remaining screws and the control-panel housing.

Cut away at the caulk that seals the stove to the wall using a utility knife.

Pull the convection oven away from the wall.

Disconnect the gas hose and electrical connectors at the back of the oven with a wrench.

Tips & Warnings
It is important to test and replace internal components of your convection oven as needed. Be sure to wash the fan filter with grease-cutting cleaner and to clean the inside of the oven with spray cleanser and a sponge.
Disassembling a convection oven in a motor home can be very dangerous, so it is important to talk to your RV service dealer before you begin.
A convection oven uses a lot of electrical current, so it should always be connected to its own circuit. Failure to do so can result in a broken circuit or a blown fuse.
