How to Broil Village Lobster Tail
In most of the world, lobster tails are considered a delicacy. They are a treat that many people only indulge in when they dine at seafood restaurants. However, cooking your own lobster tails at home can be simple, economical, delicious and impressive to your dinner guests. There are several methods for cooking lobster tails, including boiling, grilling, broiling and baking. Things You'll Need
- Fresh or frozen lobster tails
- Oven
- Kitchen shears
- Small mixing bowl
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Baking pan

Thaw the lobster tails in the refrigerator for eight hours, if you're using frozen tails.

Preheat oven on the broil setting.

Cut off the top of the shell with kitchen shears. Begin on the right side and cut all the way down. Don't cut too deep into the lobster meat.

Repeat on the left side and make another cut at the bottom, joining the first two cuts.

Peel the shell off and rinse the tail in cold water.

Mix butter, lemon juice, white pepper, sea salt and garlic powder together in a small mixing bowl. Drizzle the marinade over the lobster tail.

Place lobster tails in a baking pan and put it in the oven. Cook the tails for one minute per ounce of lobster. They are done when they reach an internal temperature of 145 F.

Remove lobster tails from oven and unwrap the meat from the shell. Serve and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
While the lobster tails are broiling, keep a close eye on them. They can get overcooked quickly.
