How to Keep Your Hosieries From Running thumbnail
A run in your stocking can put a kink in your mood.

Tights, stockings, pantyhose and hosiery are all words for the accessories that make your legs look great in dresses, skirts and even shorts. No matter how much your spend on your hosiery, the nylon fabric is particularly vulnerable to running. By taking a few precautions, you can avoid turning your best stockings into disposable ones. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Buy and wear the right size. Tights come with a sizing chart printed on the back. Match up your height and weight with the correct size.

    • 2

Cut your toenails. One reason for pantyhose runs is catching your toenail on the fabric as you pull them on. Gently pull on and off pantyhose.

    • 3

Apply clear nail polish to keep a run from spreading. Put on the tights and dab the nail polish onto the ends of the run. Don't remove the tights until they're dry. Don't overdo the nail polish, as it can be noticeable.
