1
Measure the outdoor canopy between each pole and make a note of each figure. Measure the height of the canopy as well and make a note of this data. Purchase or sew eight drapes according to the measurements so that each drape is half the width of one side of the canopy. Each "wall" will then have two drapes that meet in the middle to shade the canopy and keep out the bugs. Choose a light, airy fabric that is suited to the outdoors but also allows light in easily, such as a sheer white fabric. The effect will be light, clean and romantic once the drapes are hung.

2
Attach velcro to the inside of the canopy at the top, with the matching pieces attached to the tops of the drapes. Align the velcro strips and hang the drapes. You can easily remove them if washing is required. Purchase or create tiebacks for the drapes so that you have the flexibility to have the drapes open or closed.

Evaluate the use of the space and the number of people that will be using it. If it is for a family of four, use smaller furniture pieces. If you will use the space for frequent entertaining, choose larger pieces of furniture.

Arrange the conversation set on one side of the space below the canopy and the dining set on the other so that there are two distinct but open spaces available for use. Add decorative features such as flowers, candles and lighting around the space to make it feel more comfortable. Do not fill all the spaces as it will detract from the beauty of the outdoors.

Maintain the light, neutral color scheme for all elements in the outdoor living space. Keep the canopy decor simple so that the space feels relaxed and open.
