2
Order the granite from the supplier. Get enough granite to fill a 20-foot container to maximize your profit. Send a down payment to the supplier or arrange for a letter of credit through your bank for the stone. Pay the remaining cost once the granite has shipped.

Find a freight company that will ship the granite to the port closest to you. You can pick up the granite at the port or have it shipped from there by a drayage company. If you have it shipped to you, make sure that the company is experienced with granite, as it can break easily if not packed properly.

Arrange for a customs broker to help you deal with customs inspections. U.S. Customs Brokers is a website that lists customs brokers. It also provides reports of customers' experiences with them.
