The GE Profile Arctica is a refrigerator with a stainless steel exterior and rounded corners and doors. It includes an electronic digital display on the freezer door, custom cool and turbo cool settings and a temperature management system. The refrigerator, as with most appliances, should work well in most circumstances. However, it may need to be reset after any repairs, maintenance or if the power was disconnected.

Step 2

Replace the household fuse or reset the circuit breaker if unplugging the refrigerator does not reset the controls.

Step 3

Perform a complete system reset by using the refrigerator's self-diagnostic mode. Press a temperature button on the control panel to enter the self-diagnostic mode. When both the temperature control displays are lit up, set the refrigerator and freezer temperature settings to "5." Press and hold all four of the temperature adjustment buttons for three seconds and then release. When "0" flashes in the displays, the refrigerator is in the self-diagnostic mode. Press "1" and then "5" to completely reset the entire system. After the system resets, unplug the refrigerator and then restore power. The refrigerator is now reset.
