How to Redye Your Clothes
When you have a piece of clothing that appears to be worn out or faded, you do not have to throw it away or donate the clothing to charity. Instead, you can redye the article of clothing to make it look brand-new again. In order to achieve the best results when redying your clothing, it is important to prepare a dye bath using a few materials that can be found at any grocery store or supermarket.

Fill a large stock pot with 2 gallons water, and heat the water over medium-high heat. Once the water boils, reduce the heat to medium-low.

Pour 16 oz. of liquid fabric dye into the water. Select any color that you prefer.

Pour 2 cups of table salt into the stock pot. Stir the mixture with a long-handled spoon for two minutes to combine the ingredients completely.

Submerge your clothing into the dye bath, and push it down with the spoon. Simmer the clothing in the dye bath for 20 minutes.

Remove the clothing from the dye bath, and rinse it out under clear water for 10 minutes. Hang the garment to dry, or place the garment into a standard clothes dryer under low heat.
