How to Use Magic's Video Downloader
Magic's Video Downloader is a free, Firefox add-on that allows you to quickly save embedded flash video from most flash video websites, such as YouTube and Metacafe. As of July 2011, the latest update to Magic's Video Downloader was released on July 11, 2008, making it incompatible with Firefox versions 4 and higher. All videos are saved in the FLV format, which requires a media player capable of playing the FLV format.

Open Firefox. Type "addons.mozilla.org" into the address bar and press the "Enter" key. Type "Magic's Video Downloader" into the search bar and press the "Enter" key. Click "Magic' Video Downloader."

Click "Add to Firefox." Click "Install." When prompted, click the "Restart" button to restart Firefox. Click the "Firefox" button at the top of the browser. Click "Add-Ons." Click "Extensions" and verify that Magic' Video Downloader is enabled. If it's not enabled, click "Enable."

Open the Web page with the video you want to save. Click the Magic's Video Downloader icon below the address bar. A popup window will open. Click the "Download the File From [web address]" button. The video will be downloaded to the same directory as other Firefox downloads.
