How to Crochet Bracelet Purses

Make a square gauge of 1 inch. Use half double crochets to create a gauge of 3 rows of 3 half double crochets.

Chain 3 stitches and join into the first stitch to form a circle. Chain 2 and then make 12 half double crochets into the circle. This is your first row of 12 stitches.

Chain 2 and then make 2 half double crochets into each stitch of the first row.

Chain 2 and make one half double crochet in the next 3 stitches, and then 2 half double crochets in the fourth stitch. Repeat the process, except for the chain 2, until you get to the end of the round, which should end with one half double crochet into the last stitch.

Do a half double crochet in each stitch for the next 4 rows. At the end of each row, slip stitch 2 chains.

Do a half double crochet in the first 4 stitches of the eighth row, and then decrease in the following stitch by making 2 half double crochets together. Repeat until you get to the end of the row, do a slip stitch and chain 2.

Repeat step 5 for three more rows, but do not do the slip stitch and chain at the end of the third row.

Slip stitch 3 and then make 10 chains. Skip 4 stitches and attach the 10-chain with a slip stitch. This will create the first row for the small handle loop. Continue by making 7 slip stitches, going around the bag to make sure you start the long handle loop well aligned on the opposite side of the purse. Chain 24, skip 4 stitches and loop into the next stitch to attach to the brim of the purse.

Make 2 rows of double crochets along each handle loop and finish off. Tuck the remaining strands inside the purse using a yarn needle.

Pass the large loop into the hole of the small loop. Use the hole in the large loop to place the purse on your wrist, like you would a bracelet.
