How to Add a Photo to an Existing Folder on Facebook

Uploading photos to Facebook is one of the easiest ways to share them with your friends and family. When you upload photos to your homepage, Facebook automatically creates a new photo album for you. This can get frustrating when you want to add a photo to a preexisting album already on your Facebook profile. To add individual photos to your existing albums, you need to upload directly from the album page.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to Facebook.com and log in to your account.

    • 2

Click the "Profile" link in the upper-right corner to go to your profile page. You must access your photos through your profile to add to existing albums.

    • 3

Click the "Photos" link in the left column under your profile picture.

    • 4

Click the album to which you want to add a new photo.

    • 5

Click the "Add Photos" button in the upper right corner.

    • 6

Click to select the photo on your computer that you want to add to the album and then click the "Upload" button. Facebook will redirect you to your album page after the upload has completed.

    • 7

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to locate the added photo. Type a description into the field or click friends' faces to tag them if desired.

    • 8

Click the "Save Changes" button. If you want to publish your new photo to your news feed, click the "Publish" button when prompted by Facebook.
