How to Display Jewelry on a Wooden Plaque
Keep your jewelry organized and display it like a decoration in your room. Make your own custom jewelry display out of a plain wooden plaque and reused spools of thread. The number of hanging points for your jewelry depends on how large the plaque is -- you don't want to put your jewelry too close together, or they will get tangled. Follow a specific procedure with the right materials to hang your jewelry in a convenient spot.
Things You'll Need
- Wooden plaque
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Empty thread spools
- Acrylic paint
- Paintbrush
- Hot glue gun or epoxy adhesive

1
Measure points near the top edge of the wooden plaque, evenly spaced but no less than 2 inches apart. Mark these measurements on the plaque with a pencil.
-
2
Paint an empty wooden spool of thread for each mark you made on the plaque with acrylic paint in the same color, or as close to the same color as possible as the plaque. Wait two hours for the paint to dry.

Apply hot glue or epoxy adhesive to one flat side of an empty spool of thread and press it to the first pencil mark while the plaque is lying flat. Repeat this process for every pencil mark and painted spool. Wait 30 minutes for the hot glue to harden and 24 hours for the epoxy adhesive to dry completely.

Hang the back of the plaque on nails on a wall close to where you get dressed and hang your jewelry on the spools on the plaque.
