How to Create an Earth Using Webdings

You can place an Earth icon in your document with Webdings.

Webdings is a font that can be found in many word processing programs. The font is made up of special symbols and characters of all kinds, from an airplane to a dog to an alien face. If you would like to insert an Earth symbol into your document, you can so do using Webdings if you know where to access it.

Step 1

Open your Microsoft Word document.

Place your cursor where you would like to insert the Earth icon.

Step 3

Click on "Insert" on the toolbar at the top of the window.

Select "Symbol."

Step 5

Select "Webdings" in the font drop-down menu.

Select the Earth icon. The code numbers of the icons offered are 251, 252, 253 and 254.

Click "Insert." An Earth icon should now be just to the left of your cursor. You can increase the size or change the color of this icon by highlighting it, right-clicking and selecting "Font" from the menu.
