Most cellphones allow you to create a new paragraph in a text message

When you are creating a text message on your cellphone, if you press "Enter," you send the message. However, there are a few different methods for creating a new paragraph in a text message. You can use a couple of keyboard shortcuts, or if your phone has a "Return" key, you can insert a new paragraph. Not every cellphone will support a new paragraph in a text message.

Instructions

    • 1

Create a new text message and type your first paragraph of text.

    • 2

Press "Shift" and "Enter" on your phones keyboard. If that does not create a new line, press "000" (three zeros) on your keyboard. If your cellphone keyboard contains a "Return" key, which looks like a down-left pointing arrow, press that to enter a new line.

    • 3

Type the new paragraph and send your text message.
