How to Use Headphones With an LG 47LH40
The LG 47LH40 Liquid Crystal Display flat panel television has a slew of audio and video options, including the ability to attach headphones directly to the TV. You might be wanting to hear every last detail of the Mozart concerto you recorded on your digital video recorder, or you may want to watch reruns on late night TV without disturbing your household. Plugging a set of headphones with the standard 1/8th inch headphone jack into the back of your LG 47LH40 will do the trick.

1
Rotate the LG 47LH40 so the left side of the TV is facing out toward you. Move slowly to avoid pulling any other cords that are connected to the back of the set.
-
2
Locate the headphone jack at the very bottom of the inset panel on the back-left of the TV. It sits just below AV IN 3 and has the label H/P along with a picture of headphones. Plug in your headphones to the jack.

Reduce the volume on the TV to about 10 percent before putting the headphones on for the first time. Put on the headphones, and start up a video source, for example a TV channel. Slowly increase the volume to a comfortable level.
