How to Thaw Watered-Down Vodka
Thawing watered-down vodka makes the difference between staring at a frozen bottle of booze and drinking the contents of it. Watered-down vodka is the result of adding water to a bottle of vodka, which decreases the alcohol content and dilutes the flavor of the alcohol. Vodka does not typically freeze; however, water does. Mixing the two ingredients causes ice to form within a bottle once frozen. Defrost watered-down vodka to make chilled vodka cocktails with a frosty texture. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Put the vodka bottle containing watered-down vodka in a plastic bucket that is deep enough to house the length of the bottle. The plastic bucket will catch condensation from the bottle as it thaws.
-
2
Take the cap off the vodka bottle to relieve pressure. The water in the bottle contracts while the alcohol spreads. The expansion of the alcohol can push water out of the bottle.

3
Place the bucket on a counter to thaw at room temperature. Pour the alcohol when the ice melts into water.
