How to Cancel Showtime With DIRECTV

Showtime features movies as well as original series.

The Showtime Unlimited package on DIRECTV includes the Showtime channel and 12 related channels featuring movies and original programming. If you are unhappy with Showtime's programing you might choose to cancel it from your DIRECTV account. This process cannot be performed online.

Instructions

1. Call the DIRECTV customer service phone number at 1-800-531-5000.

2. Give your account information name, phone number and the reason you are calling to the automated operator. This information is given to a customer service representative. Wait for the customer service representative to come on the line. This process requires a holding period that varies between a few seconds and several minutes.

3. Tell the representative that you would like to cancel your Showtime package. The representative deletes the premium package from your DIRECTV line-up.

4. Turn on your DIRECTV box and your TV. Tune to the channels in the Showtime package. The package has been successfully canceled if the channels are unavailable.
