How to Get More Master League Points

During online multiplayer mode, "Starcraft II: The Wings of Liberty" divides players into specific leagues based on their ability. The game assesses ability based on the number of points a player earns. When a player wins a match, he earns a a number of points that correlates to the score of his opponent. Typically, points are hidden from all players and "Starcraft II" includes no guide on entering a specific league. The "Master League" consists of the best players in the game -- typically the top 2 percent of the Diamond League.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch "StarCraft II" and click on the "Online Multiplayer" option. Assign your character a race, either "Terran," "Protoss" or "Zerg," and wait for the game to match you with an opponent. Note the race of your opponent. Terrans use high defense, Protoss use high attack and Zergs use speed.

    • 2

Build several sets of workers, supplies and scouts.

    • 3

Send your scouts to your opponent's base and assess his units. Consider these questions: Is he building fast attack units or slow units with a strong attack? Is he building a mass of units, attempting to rush to your base and capture it?

    • 4

Build military units that counteract your opponent's strategy. If he amasses units in an attempt to rush your base, build strong, defensive units. Send your soldiers to attack your opponent's units and base.

    • 5

Play to the strengths of your race. If you play as a Terran, focus on heavy defense, siege, Medivac units and sturdy buildings. If you play as a Protoss focus on cannons, spells, powerful attacks and probing as many structures as possible. Keep your unit amount small. If you play as a Zerg, focus on creating many units, quickly and build defensive structures.

    • 6

Defeat your opponent to increase your points.

    • 7

Play another online match and defeat your opponent. Play matches at least once a week to remain on the "Active Player" list. When you earn enough points, you enter the "Master League" and fight against the best players in the game.
