How to Compliment a Girl on Her Smile

A smile is an internationally recognized symbol of happiness.

An authentic smile can transform a plain face to a beautiful one in a moment. If you have noticed a girl who has a nice smile, you just might make her day by complimenting her. This could be your entrance to get to know her better or just a compliment. Either way, the manner in which you compliment a girl on her smile makes a tremendous impact on how she receives the compliment.

Instructions

1. Gain the girl's attention in a way that shows you have good manners. Say something like, "Please excuse me, but I noticed something that I have to comment on...."

2. Tell the girl that her smile is pretty in a regular, concise way. Lengthy ramblings usually sound like cheesy pick-up lines. The phrase, "Your smile is really pretty," is likely to be received better than, "Hey Girl, your smile just stole my heart."

3. Add specific details. This will make your compliment unique and real. For example "When you smile, your brown eyes twinkle and your whole face lights up. That's really pretty."

4. Move on in your conversation. Don't continue to pour on compliments or go on and on about the girl's smile. Overdoing it can make her feel uncomfortable.

5. Compliment a girl about her smile only if you truly like her smile. Sincere compliments are the most well-received and the most valuable. If you want to compliment someone whose smile is not her greatest asset, find something else that you can compliment her on.
