A projector's color should be adjusted for each location and lighting condition.

The Hitachi LP300 projector can be used for everything from business presentations to movie viewing. While most business presentations that incorporate mainly text don't require accurate colors, you may have noticed that the color on your LP300 projector needs to be adjusted while watching movies or viewing photos. The projector's menu provides the proper tools for adjusting the color. It is recommended that you perform the adjustment process whenever the lighting changes or the projector is moved to a new location.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "Menu" button on the remote or the keypad. Press the appropriate right or left arrow keys to highlight the "Display" tab at the top of the screen.

    • 2

Press the down arrow to highlight "Brightness" and use the left and right arrows to adjust the brightness slider. Adjust the brightness until black areas of the screen appear as deep black.

    • 3

Press the down arrow to highlight "Contrast" and use the left and right arrows to adjust the contrast until the white areas have detail, but are not too washed out.

    • 4

Press the down arrow to highlight "Tint" and use the left and right arrows to adjust the tint until the screen looks natural and balanced, without too much of a red, green or blue tint.

    • 5

Press the down arrow to highlight "Color" and use the left and right arrows to adjust the color until the screen has vibrant colors without displaying skin tones that look too red or green.

    • 6

Press the down arrow to highlight "Sharpness" and use the left and right arrows to adjust the sharpness until the image looks sharp, with edges that are defined rather than distorted.
