How to Ace a 2nd Interview
Landing a second interview for the position you desire puts you further ahead as an ideal candidate, but still you must put in effort to win the job. Sometimes, employers need a second opinion about candidates they've previously interviewed before choosing an applicant. Your second impression should be just as impressive as your first one. This is your chance to show the employer you genuinely want the position, and that you can contribute a wealth of skills in performing the job.

1
Anticipate what the employer will ask in the second interview. Research the company, your potential position, and other essential information, such as job culture, and how your resume is relevant for that position. Questions during a job interview usually combine personal and professional inquiries. Employers like to get your perspective on how you would handle workplace scenarios such as getting along with co-workers or meeting tasks on time. Answer these questions without frequent hesitation and show a self-assurance that demonstrates your belief in that you are a solid candidate for the job.

2
Ask the employer at least three questions before the end of the interview. Focus on questions related to workplace culture, customer relations and company growth. Show the employer that you are genuinely interested in this position and that you would take your job seriously and that you would be a team player.

Dress to impress. Do not treat the second interview as a casual meeting. Wear a clean, tailored suit and accessorize in a way that is refined and professional. Avoid tight or disheveled clothing. Dress comfortably only if the nature of the meeting calls for it. For example, jobs that are outdoors may require comfortable sneakers rather than dress shoes.

After the interview, follow up with an email or a thank you card. This should be done within 24 hours of the interview. Hand deliver the card to the office to ensure that the employer receives it. If you email the follow-up letter, phone the recipient the next day to make sure the recipient received your email.
