How to Save a JPG as a Metafile
A metafile contains information that describes a file; a JPG is way of compressing an image file. The metafile contains vector, rastor and other data that commands the Windows operating system to display a particular image on the screen and ends in the extension "WMF." Unlike a metafile, a JPG can be used on PC and Mac platforms; a metafile is only useful on a PC platform and isn't detailed enough to be used for high-end page layouts or print work. To save a JPG as a metafile, you must convert the file.
