How to Read Kindle With Firefox

Amazon allows you to access its Kindle books on its own Kindle e-reading device, via a smartphone or tablet using the Kindle App, or on your Firefox browser via Kindle for the Web. Kindle for the Web, at the time of publication, does not allow you to read full Kindle books on your Web browser, though, according to Amazon, that feature is coming soon. Instead, you can access and read Kindle samples via your Firefox browser, then optionally proceed to purchase the full ebook version for a Kindle device.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Firefox and navigate to Amazon.com.

    • 2

Type the name of a book into the "Search" field, then press "Enter." Select it from the search results.

    • 3

Look on the right-side of the screen. Click "Read first chapter FREE" under "Kindle Edition." A special reading screen appears with the first chapter. Click the left and right arrow keys to go forward and backwards.

    • 4

Click "Get Kindle Edition" to pay for and download the book.
