How to Cook Steak at High Heat
Cooking beef at high temperatures creates a tasty crust and seals in the meat's natural juices. According to the USDA, broiled beef steaks only need to cook 4 to 5 minutes per side, making this a fast, delicious meal choice. For the best results, cook beef that has been brought to room temperature -- never frozen or cold. Ensure the juiciness of your beef by marinating the steak for 15 minutes to 1 hour before cooking.
