How to Stow Gear on a Small Motorboat

On a boat, there's a place for everything, and everything should be in its place.

• Boat Trailers
• Boating Ropes
• Boats
• Motorboats
• Ski Boats

1. Stow gear in compartments other than those used for the fuel tank and batteries.

2. Avoid stowing anything on top of safety gear.

3. Secure items that don't fit into compartments with lines or bungee cords.

4. Place heavy items near the boat's centerline.

5. Distribute weight evenly side to side and bow to stern.
