A ponytail pull on top of the head gives easy access to hair underneath it.

Ponytails are a useful way to keep hair away from your face and your neckline. For most ponytails, all of your hair is gathered and secured using a rubber band or hair clip. When getting long hair cut, there may be a reason that you don't want to get the entire length trimmed, such as wanting to have a layered-style look to your hair. To achieve this, the hair that you don't want cut needs to be secured away from the area that you do want cut. The best way to achieve this is to put the other hair in a ponytail that is set atop your head. It just takes a few steps to create a ponytail on top of your head to allow for layers to be cut. Does this Spark an idea?
