How to Clean Fixodent From Dentures
For those who wear dentures, finding a product that keeps them in place throughout the day is imperative. Fixodent offers a wide variety of not only adhesives, but denture cleaning products as well to help make cleaning your dentures as simple as possible. If Fixodent becomes stuck to your dentures, trying to scrub it away may prove to be challenging. With a little help from some household vinegar, your dentures can be free from this stubborn adhesive without all the frustration.

Place the dentures into a cup or bowl.

Pour plain white vinegar over them, covering them completely.

Soak the dentures overnight in the vinegar. The vinegar will help to dissolve Fixodent's hold on your dentures.

Pour out the vinegar in the morning and remove the dentures from the cup or bowl.

Dampen a toothbrush with warm water and scrub away any remaining Fixodent from the dentures.

Rinse the dentures under warm running water.

Place the dentures on a clean dry towel to air-dry.

Dip a damp toothbrush in table salt for an added abrasive to remove stubborn adhesive.
The makers of Fixodent recommend using Fixodent Antibacterial Denture Cleanser with Scope Ingredients to remove residual adhesive. Read and follow the directions carefully.
Use only the recommended amount of Fixodent to secure your dentures. Using too much can lead to stubborn excess that may be difficult to remove later. Use no more than six strips or a total of 3 inches.
