Instructions

    • 1

Buy a nail-stamping set. It'll include polish, plates, decals and stamps. There may be some differences among kits, so check carefully to see what you want is included.

    • 2

Brush the base coat onto your nails. It must be the base coat that comes with the kit. Put your hand down on a flat surface. Brush once down the middle and once on each side of each nail; repeat on the other hand.

    • 3

Paint nail polish onto your fingernails. (If you don't want to use any background color, skip this part. You can do nail-stamping on top of the base coat.) Paint on whatever color you like.

    • 4

Put nail polish onto the desired image on the stamping plate. The polish's color will be the color of the design. Follow the directions on the packaging about how much to put onto the plate.

    • 5

Use the enclosed scraper to remove excess polish. Scrape it going inside to out. Do this quickly before the nail polish has a chance to dry.

    • 6

Press the stamper into the nail polish that's in the plate. Roll the stamp around slightly to ensure that you pick up the entire image. Do this on all or selected fingernails. If you'd like multiple designs, use multiple stamps.

    • 7

Immediately brush on the top coat. Use the one that comes with the kit; it's specially made for nail-stamping. Brush on a thin layer and let it dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • Remove nail stamps with standard nail polish remover.
