How to Bake Brie in Its Wooden Box
Brie is a soft, French cow's cheese that is creamy and delicious when baked. Baking it in the oven results in something similar to fondue, as the cheese will be soft enough you'll be able to dip bread sticks into it. Alternatively, you can smear it onto French crusty bread. This dish is perfect as the appetizer for a dinner party. Does this Spark an idea?

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Remove the cheese from the box and from its wrapping.

Cut the top rind off the Brie, leaving the rind on the sides and bottom. The rind is edible, add it to a sandwich or eat it on its own if you don't want to waste it.

Place the Brie in the wooden box, rind-less side up. Don't place the lid over it.

Put the box on a baking sheet or tray and place it in the oven. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the cheese has melted. Serve in the box.

Tips & Warnings
Serve the baked Brie with crusty French bread, tart cherry jam or caramelized onion chutney.
You can sprinkle herbs over the top of the cheese before baking if you wish, such as thyme and black pepper.
You can bake Camembert in exactly the same way.
