In the early days of motion picture post-production, removing dubbed languages from a film was an arduous task because everything was analog. However, the digital revolution has finally made removing dubbing a simple task. Using Virtual Dub Mod, you can easily remove Russian dubbing or any type of language from a video.

Instructions

      Open Virtual Dub Mod and navigate to the menu stream and select "Stream List."

      Press the "Disable" button after you select the Russian audio stream you want to delete.

      Right-click on the audio stream you want to keep. Select "Direct Stream Copy."

      Select "OK" and close the browser window. Navigate to "Menu" and then "Video." Select "Direct Stream Copy."

      Navigate to "Menu," "File" and "Save as." Save the new file with the single Russian audio stream in any folder. Play back your audio to ensure that the Russian dubbing has been removed.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also press the F7 button to save your new file.

  • If you remove the audio track completely, you will have to redo all sound effects.
