How to Catch a Clefairy in Pearl
Clefairy is a normal-type Pokemon with a variety of offensive attacks who is very effective against psychic Pokemon. Clefairy can be found in "Pokemon Pearl" roaming around inside the northern section of Mt. Coronet, which is accessible in the early portion of the game to the west of Celestic Town. Clefairy is not classified as a rare Pokemon, but it has a low encounter rate of 15 percent, meaning it may take a while before you find one.

Fly, walk or bike to Celestic Town. Press the "Start" button and select "Map" to see where you are in the world and your location relative to Celestic Town.

Walk to the left (west) side of Celestic Town and enter Route 211 as identified by the sign on the road. Continue walking forward until you reach Mt. Coronet.

Enter Mt. Coronet. Use "Strength" to push the boulder at the top of the room out the way. Use "Rock Smash" to clear the rocks out the way. Walk around the corridor until you encounter Clefairy. Use a combination of fighting-based attacks, such as Focus Punch or Rock Smash, to weaken Clefairy.

Throw a PokeBall or GreatBall when Clefairy's health is in the red to capture it.
