Making your own caller tunes is a good way to personalize your cell phone. People who are calling you will not hear a standard ringing tone on their end but a personalized song of your choice. These are also referred to as ringback tones. If your phone has its own SD memory card, you can create your own caller tunes and avoid having to pay a fee to download them.

  Navigate to your wireless provider's website. Log in to your account and sign up for its caller tunes service.

  Connect your phone to your computer via the USB cable it came with. Add music files in MP3 format to your phone's music player.

  Select a song you want to use for your caller tune. Copy or cut it from the folder that stores your music files and place it in the folder designated for caller tunes.

  Disconnect your cell phone from your computer. Navigate to the caller tunes option on your phone and select the song to set it as your tune.
