How to Get Morning Birds to Be Quiet thumbnail
Keep birds away with bird repellent systems.

Most species of birds are active in the morning. Birds spend hours in the morning gathering food, nest supplies and singing or making humming and thumping noises to attract mates and protect their space. Many varieties sing loudly to attract a mate, and some flap wings to make a humming sound to scare off other birds. Woodpeckers peck quickly to let other birds know what is their territory. The most effective way to get morning birds to be quiet is to make your environment unappealing to them so they will leave. Bird repelling items can be found at hardware stores. Instructions

    • 1

Attach bird spikes to rafters, gutters and other areas you don't want birds to land. The spikes are stainless steel and attach with adhesive.

    • 2

Hang reflective ribbon in the trees surrounding your home. The ribbon is super reflective and the reflections scare birds from landing in that area.

    • 3

Apply bird glue to surfaces you want birds to avoid. The glue is a biodegradable, sticky substance that is safe for birds, but makes the environment undesirable for landing.

    • 4

Hang a bird balloon in your trees. It is a yellow, plastic balloon that has a large face on it. The face scares birds and keeps them from landing in the trees.

    • 5

Purchase a motion detector scarecrow sprinkler. The sprinkler senses motion and sprays water up to 1,000 feet. The spraying water will keep birds from landing on your lawn or near your garden.

    • 6

Install a sonic bird repellent system. The systems emit sound waves that send distress signals and predator calls. These sounds prevent birds from coming into the area and scare away birds that are already there.
