How to Format a Podcast
A podcast is an episodic show, containing recorded digital audio content, such as talk or music that is broadcast via the Web. To create a podcast, you must use software that formats your content into one of the two most common podcast file formats -- MP3 or Ogg Vorbis -- and then upload the podcast to a web feed, or server, which associates the file with a specific RSS feed. Listeners then use a program called a podcatcher to get the podcast off the Web feed via the RSS, and download it to their computer or mobile device.
