How to Backup Your AOL Favorites
On the AOL toolbar, favorites are bookmarks of Web pages and websites you want to easily return to. The toolbar stores the favorites on your server so you can access the same pages quickly when you want to. If you want to transfer your AOL favorites to other Web browsers, you can create backup copies. This simple process may also come in handy if you run into errors and have to uninstall and reinstall the toolbar. Back up your favorites on your computer or a portable disk.

Click the "Favorites" button on the AOL toolbar on your browsing window to launch the favorites manager, then click the "Manage" button.

Select the following option:
Save My Favorite Places as a Favorites File on my Computer

Select the folder or location to which you want to backup your favorites, enter a name for the backup file, then click "Save."

Close the "Favorites" window to complete the backup process.
