Background Tutorial for GIMP
Commercial graphics, especially those related to advertising and marketing, have to be eye-catching if they are going to be effective. Sometimes, the background of an unaltered photo may not be what your looking for. For example, you might need to take some people standing in the foreground of a photo and make it look as though they are standing against a basic-colored graphic. An excellent program to use for this purpose is the freeware application GIMP.
