How to Output High Resolution in a MacBook Pro
MacBook Pro computers run the Mac OS X operating system, which allows you to alter your computer resolution from the operating system's interface. This resolution can be easily set to the maximum supported resolution of your display device, allowing you to have sharper images and increased space on your screen.

Click the Apple menu on the upper-left of the OS X screen.

Select "System Preferences."

Click "View," then "Displays."

Select the "Display" tab.

Select the highest supported resolution from the "Resolutions" column. The screen will automatically adjust to this new resolution.
