How to Troubleshoot SmartZone Mail on Comcast

Smartzone is an email client attached to a customer's Internet connection or Comcast account. Individuals who sign up with Comcast for their high-speed Internet are asked to create an email account on the Comcast website. The email account can then be used so Comcast can get in touch with clients quickly or email possible updates to their service. For small businesses or clients who use Smartmail, being unable to connect to their account can be frustrating. For users to reconnect with their email client, they'll first need to identify the problem and check their login information.

      Check your Internet connection to make sure you're still connected. Sometimes the Internet service you use can experience short outages. Restart your router by unplugging it and then plugging it back in. Wait for all of the lights to turn green. Restart the computer if you're still having problems.

      Try logging into your Smartzone email client by visiting "xfinity.comcast.net/smartzone/" and clicking on the "Sign in Right Now" link on the right-hand side of the screen. Make sure your caps lock is turned off as the password is case-sensitive. If an error comes back saying wrong email address or password, you can move on to the next step.

      Visit the forgotten password page by going to the Comcast homepage, clicking on the "Email" button at the top of the screen and then clicking on the "Password" link under where you'd normally enter your login information. Fill out your Comcast email address or ID and the security code on the next page to reset your password.
