Instructions

    • 1

Coat the Hawaiian Punch stain with heavy-duty laundry detergent. Allow the detergent to permeate the punch-stained polyester for at least 10 minutes.

    • 2

Rinse the stained portion of the polyester under cool, flowing water. Flush out all of the detergent.

    • 3

Examine the stained spot. If the punch stain remains, pre-soak the garment. Begin the soaking process by filling a plastic bucket or tub with 1 gallon of warm water. The water must not be hot.

    • 4

Add 4 oz. of oxygen-bleach granules to the bucket of warm water. Stir the granules into the water until they dissolve.

    • 5

Immerse the punch-stained garment in the oxygen-bleach solution. Allow it to soak in the solution for three hours.

    • 6

Launder the garment with 2 oz. of the original laundry detergent and warm water. Follow the polyester product's care label.

    • 7

Examine the garment. If the punch stain is gone, machine-dry the garment at low heat. Otherwise, allow the garment to air-dry and repeat the entire process.

Tips & Warnings

  • Spot-test a dab of the heavy-duty detergent on the polyester to make sure the fabric is color-safe.
