Your chameleon needs a healthy diet.

Chameleons are a specific type of lizard, among 135 species worldwide. They are native to India, the Middle East, northern Africa and Madagascar. Chameleons are famous for their remarkable ability to change color, thanks to special skin pigment cells. Chameleons eat insects, but will get bored if repeatedly fed the same ones.

Instructions

    • 1

Assemble a range of bugs for your chameleon in a glass bug case. Bugs like tropical cockroaches, horn worms, fruit flies, house flies, meal worms, super worms and crickets.

    • 2

Feed the bugs a range of healthy food daily. Give the bugs a constant supply of fresh vegetables, cat food, fish food and rice cereal. The nutrition your bugs get will be directly passed on to the chameleon.

    • 3

Feed your chameleon 15 to 20 bugs a day, if it is a young chameleon. If your chameleon is 8 months or older, feed it 15 to 20 bugs three times a week. Place the bugs freely about the chameleon's cage, so it can hunt them as it would in the wild.
