How to Do Rapid Fires on a Hunter in "World of Warcraft"
Hunters in "World of Warcraft" are masters of the wild. A hunter relies on his animal companions, his traps, his ability to distract and confuse his opponents, and, most importantly, his bow. Rapid Fire allows a hunter to make the most of her bow skills for a short amount of time, increasing how quickly she can fire her arrows as well as the damage that those arrows do. Rapid Fire is an incredibly useful skill and can be made even more useful by using it well.

1
Learn Rapid Fire from a hunter trainer. Hunter trainers exist in every major city and many smaller cities. If you are unsure about the location of a trainer in a major city, ask a guard and they will tell you the location. You must be level 54 to learn Rapid Fire.
-
2
Place the Rapid Fire icon on your action bar. You want to place the icon somewhere where it is visible so that you don't forget to use it, and easily accessible so you can use it quickly in fast-paced battles.
-
-
3
Equip the Glyph of Rapid Fire. The Glyph of Rapid Fire increases Rapid Fire's speed increase from 40% to 50%. Equip a glyph by pressing "N" or clicking on the "Talents" icon at the bottom of the screen. Click on the "Glyphs" tab. You must learn a glyph before it can be equipped. Glyphs can be crafted by characters with the inscription profession or purchased from the auction house.
-
4
Learn the Rapid Recuperation and Readiness talents. Rapid Recuperation allows you to regenerate additional focus while under the affect of Rapid Fire. Readiness allows you to instantly reset the cool-down time of Rapid Fire once every 3 minutes so that you can use Rapid Fire twice in a row the first time, then once every 3 minutes after that. Your character must be a Marksmanship hunter in order to use Rapid Recuperation or Readiness. Press "N" or click on the talents icon to open the talent window. You must have spent 20 talent points in the Marksmanship specialization in order to learn Rapid Recuperation or Readiness.
-
5
Combine damage increasing abilities with Rapid Fire for maximum damage. Beast Master hunters should use Bestial Wrath; all hunters should use any special effects from trinkets, weapons or armor that increase damage. This is highly recommended for short fights or at the very end of a fight.
-
6
Regain focus using Rapid Fire by waiting until you are completely out of focus, using Rapid Fire, and then firing off as many Steady Shot or Cobra Shot spells as you can. Only Beast Master hunters can use Cobra Shot. This is useful for long fights where focus is necessary for continuous damage.

Tips & Warnings
You can reset your talents or change your Hunter specialization by talking to a hunter trainer.
Marksmanship specialized hunters can reduce the cool-down of Rapid Fire to 4 minutes by learning the Posthaste talent, which requires 25 points spent in Marksmanship talents. Posthaste reduces the cool-down of Rapid Fire to 4 minutes without the use of Readiness.
The Striker's Garb armor set grants a 2 minute reduction in the cool-down time of Rapid Fire, meaning you can use it every 3 minutes instead of every 5 minutes. The armor pieces are the Striker's Diadem, the Striker's Footguards, the Striker's Hauberk, the Striker's Leggings and the Striker's Pauldrons. You must be honored with the Brood of Nozdormu faction in order to purchase all five pieces. You can gain Brood of Nozdormu reputation and the tokens required to purchase the items by completing the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj raid. The armor set requires a level of 60 and will be quickly outdated as a character levels beyond 60. The Striker's Garb bonus does not stack with the Posthaste talent.
Rapid Fire does have a long cool-down. Don't use it right away at the beginning of a battle if you can avoid it. Save it for emergencies or the end of a battle where every bit of damage is necessary to kill the monster.
