You can play as Voldemort in "LEGO Harry Potter."

You battle with a LEGO version of Voldemort at the end of years one and four in "LEGO Harry Potter" - in year two as well, if you consider Tom Riddle an earlier version of Voldemort. Unlike other "Harry Potter" characters, Voldemort is not easily accessible as a playable character via the story mode of the game. You can, however, become Voldemort and play as the villainous character in any free play level of your choosing, but only once you have explored the bonus activities in the game.

Instructions

    • 1

Earn every gold brick. Gold bricks are achievements that the game awards you after you complete levels and earn spells in story mode. You will also earn gold bricks after you find hidden objects in each level in free play mode. There are 200 gold bricks.

    • 2

Complete the "Harry's Destiny" bonus level. The level will appear in Borgin and Burkes in the Diagon Alley hub after you earn all 200 gold bricks. Build a doorway out of the golden bricks in a pile to access the level. The object of the level is to collect 1 million LEGO studs, after which, the Lord Voldemort character token will automatically be available for purchase.

    • 3

Purchase the Lord Voldemort character token in Madam Malkin's Robes Shop in the Diagon Alley hub. It costs 1 million LEGO studs.

    • 4

Select Voldemort when you access a level. When you select a level in free play mode, a screen with all of your purchased character tokens will appear. Scroll through the icons until you find Voldemort. Select him to play his character in the level.

Tips & Warnings

  • Unlock stud multipliers in order to collect LEGO studs more quickly. Each multiplier increases the value of LEGO studs.

  • You cannot become Voldemort early in the game because you must unlock all of the gold bricks. This limits the number of activities you may hope to do as Voldemort in the game. You can free play as Voldemort, but at that point, you will have already completed free plays of each level.
